MBBS and BDS Admission Process in NUMS Medical Colleges 2023

3. Equivalence Certificate: 

For O Level and A Level students, an equivalence certificate from the Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) is required.

4. National and International Applicants: 

The admission process is open to Pakistani nationals, dual nationals, overseas Pakistanis, and foreign nationals.

Application Procedure

Late applicants were required to pay Rs 6,000 for open merit seats and Rs 35,000 for foreign seats by Friday, October 27, 2023, by 1600 hours.

3. Choice of Colleges: 

Applicants can choose their preferred colleges and programs from the list of NUMS-affiliated medical and dental colleges. They can apply for both public and private sector colleges but need to submit separate applications for each sector.

4. Undertaking: 

Applicants must submit an undertaking on plain paper to affirm the correctness of the data provided in their application.

Merit List and Admission

The selection process for MBBS and BDS programs in NUMS medical colleges follows these key dates and steps:

1. Merit List: 

The merit list for the MBBS program will be published on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, for public sector colleges and Wednesday, November 29, 2023, for private-sector colleges. For the BDS program, the merit list will be displayed on Thursday, December 28, 2023, for public sector colleges and on Thursday, January 11, 2024, for private-sector colleges.

2. Merit Calculation: 

The merit list is determined using the following formula: 50% MDCAT score + 40% HSSC (Intermediate) marks + 10% SSC (Matric) marks.

3. Notification: 

Selected candidates will receive notifications via email and SMS, including details about their admission offer and fee requirements.

4. Admission Confirmation: 

Admitted candidates must pay their admission fee within the specified deadline to secure their admission.

5. Commencement of Classes: 

The MBBS program is set to commence on Monday, January 15, 2024, for both public and private sector colleges. For the BDS program, classes will start on Monday, January 22, 2024, for public sector colleges and on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, for private-sector colleges.
